Ohio Civil Service Employees Association endorses Stinziano for Auditor

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association – AFSCME Local 11, representing 30,000 state and local government employees across the state, has endorsed City Council President Pro Tem Michael Stinziano’s election to Franklin County Auditor.

It is the most recent endorsement Stinziano has received, adding to a growing list of community organizations and leaders who support his bid for Auditor.

“I am humbled by the support of OCSEA’s thousands of hard-working employees who help make our communities better places to live, work and raise families. Together we will bring our government into the 21stcentury with modern infrastructure that delivers superior service to Franklin County residents,” Stinziano said.

Stinziano has worked tirelessly finding common-sense solutions to make Franklin County a great place to work and live. He has been recognized numerous times as Legislator of the Year, and in 2016 was named Citizen of the Year by Columbus Realtors.

He serves as Chair of Council’s Neighborhoods Committee, Technology Committee, and Public Utilities Committee and co-chairs Age-Friendly Columbus, the award-winning city-wide initiative working to ensure that people of all ages and abilities can remain in their homes, live independently and maintain a high quality of life.

As County Auditor, he wants to build on his experiences by working in a bipartisan manner to protect and promote the interests of Franklin County residents.

The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association- AFSCME Local 11 is just the latest of an expanding list of groups that have endorsed Stinziano for Auditor, including: AFSCME Local 8 & Retiree Chapter 1184, Franklin County Adelante Democrats, Stonewall Democrats of Central Ohio, and Franklin County Young Democrats.

Stinziano resides in the University Community with his wife, Caroline, their two children, Cooper and Riley, and their two rescue pugs, Wrigley and Fenway.
