COLUMBUS, Ohio – Franklin County Auditor-Elect Michael Stinziano will become the first Democrat in 80 years to hold that office when he is sworn in March 11.

A ceremonial swearing-in ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Clintonville Women’s Club, 3951 N. High St. The event is open to the public.

“I am excited for the opportunity to lead the Auditor’s office into the 21st century with new ideas and innovations that will make our community the very best place to live and work,” Stinziano said.

Among the priorities of Auditor-Elect Stinziano:

* Accountability: Holding Community Hours meetings where residents can express their ideas and interact directly with the Auditor’s Office.

* Transparency: Making rental information readily available in a user-friendly database that will support both residents and affordable housing groups.

* Outstanding Public Service: Expanding the number of locations where dog licenses can be renewed; Working to ensure homeowners, particularly seniors, can stay in their homes.

Stinziano resides in the University Community with his wife, Caroline, their two children, Cooper and Riley, and their two rescue pugs, Wrigley and Fenway.
